With many students transitioning to remote learning this year, social-emotional learning in education has become even more essential for any discipline, and that includes science.
In fall 2019, HMH staff participated in a training conducted by the Collaborative for Academic Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL), which guided the team and inspired the company to embed SEL best practices into materials, including HMH’s soon-to-be-released HMH Into Science K-5 program.
Listen in as former science teachers (and current HMH employees) Ann Pearson and Nancy-Geer Hamilton discuss practical ways to implement social and emotional learning activities in your science classroom.
