CORE CURRICULUM
Dr. Vytas Laitusis is an Education Research Director managing STEM and math intervention research work at HMH. He conducts efficacy studies to examine the effectiveness of the supplemental and intervention math programs at HMH as well as the assessments that support them. His interests also include the use of data modeling to inform decisions surrounding placement, retention, and instruction. He has written and presented papers on Strategy Utilization, Metacognitive Knowledge Monitoring, Learning and Study Strategies, and the development of Performance-Based and Formative Assessments. Previously he has served as an adjunct faculty member at Fordham University and provided on-site training in data analysis for the Improving Education Quality (IEQ) project at the Malawi Institute of Education (MIE). Vytas holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Fordham University. He also holds an M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a B.S. in Psychology from The University of Florida.
