Jim O’Neill

President, Core and Supplemental Solutions

Jim joined HMH in 2017 as General Manager of Core Solutions, where he strengthened HMH’s core curriculum business. In 2025, he was named President of Core and Supplemental Solutions, leading the development of best-in-class K-12 curricula across English language arts, math, science and social studies.

Jim is driven by a belief that high-quality curriculum that integrates technology can transform classrooms and unlock student potential. With over 20 years of experience in educational technology, product development, strategy and marketing, Jim has held leadership roles at Achieve3000, Pearson, National Geographic and HMH. As Chief Product and Strategy officer at Achieve3000, he led teams to innovate differentiated instruction through blended learning. He previously served as the SVP of Product Management and Strategy at HMH, guiding comprehensive curriculum solutions.

He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
