Dr. Amy Endo is an Education Research Director managing the research work for the supplemental, intervention literacy and language development programs at HMH. Her research work consists of providing evidence-based best practices for literacy and language instruction to establish the theoretical basis of programs, support program development during the user research phases, and conduct efficacy studies to examine their effectiveness for all learners. Her research specializes in ensuring that HMH solutions are equitable for all learners to accelerate the literacy and language growth of the marginalized student populations, including those with learning disabilities, dyslexia, multilingual learners, older striving readers, or those with other impairments.
Previously, she spearheaded the development work of a global pre-K to third-grade English language arts program for afterschool learning centers in the United States and Asia. Amy holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology focusing on literacy research from Columbia University Teachers College. She also holds an M.A. in Technology in Education in the context of second language acquisition from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. from Wellesley College.
