Abstract

Educational Research Institute of America (ERIA) conducted a pretest-posttest study to examine the effectiveness of Math in Focus in Grades 3, 4, and 5 during the 2016–2017 school year. A total of 1,359 students and 59 teachers from 11 schools in 4 states participated in the study. Results indicate that across all three grade levels, Math in Focus students’ mathematics growth was statistically significant. Across all three grade levels, higher- and lower-ability pretest students in Math in Focus classrooms demonstrated significant growth.
