CORE CURRICULUM
Dr. Brian G. Osborne is a professor of practice and the program director of Educational Leadership at Lehigh University College of Education. His career in higher education follows 27 years in public education, including as Superintendent of Schools for the City School District of New Rochelle, NY and the South Orange-Maplewood School District, NJ. He was Chief of Staff, Teaching and Learning, as well as Director of Instructional Technology for the New York City Department of Education. He has also taught at elementary and high school, and co-founded a public high school in the Bronx, New York.
Brian holds a doctorate and master's degree in administration, planning and social policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, a master's degree in mathematics education from New York University, and a bachelor's degree in philosophy and religion from Colgate University. He and his wife, Karen, live in Weehawken, New Jersey, where they raised two daughters, now 20 and 17, who attended public schools.
